Personality: Even though years and hard times have forced Naruto to mature bit by bit, he retains an outspoken, infectious personality that’s a blend of loud, energetic, competitive, honest, naïve, determined, and incredibly loyal. Naruto is the type of person that you can’t exactly ignore, even if you really, really want to. He always speaks his mind and is, in general, profoundly friendly person. Subtlety isn’t his strongpoint, but neither is deception; Naruto will tell you things right to your face without sugarcoating it. He's capable of strong, deep feelings that he’ll communicate to those around him, although sometimes not in the best or clearest of ways. Conversely, there is a hidden depth to him, mostly especially the strong feelings concerning Jinchuuriki like himself, his friends, his village, and Sasuke. At times Naruto can experience doubt and uncertainty, but these instances are so brief or so well hidden that unless someone was watching for them or knew where to look, they’d go unnoticed. Naruto’s smile is always sincere, but that doesn’t necessarily mean there isn’t more to it.
Naruto is loyal to a fault and considers it his ninja way to never go back on his word. He’ll never give up once he’s made up his mind to do something, going to extreme lengths in order to fulfill a promise. After a lifetime of experiencing nothing but resentment and isolation from the majority of the people around him, friends are precious to him; once you’re his friend, you’re his friend for life. He has a fierce desire to prove himself, he’ll work harder and go farther than most and has a competitive streak a mile wide. He has a quick temper and a tendency for impatience as well as naïveté, sometimes missing the obvious or taking a bit longer than most to puzzle out difficult questions. He doesn’t think things over sometimes, but he can be perceptive when you lease expect it. It doesn’t always work, especially around girls, but it’s not for lack of trying.
He also likes ramen. A lot.
History: http://www.leafninja.com/fullbio.ph p?p=Uzumaki_Naruto-1
Strengths: Naruto has the basic ninja attributes and techniques: above-average reflexes, hand/eye coordination, enhanced strength through training, and the use of chakra. This equates to ninjutsu that manipulate the environment and himself through the use of seals formed by the hands, as well as more basic applications such as using chakra to stick to walls, walk on water, enhance physical skills, and so on. His primary jutsu are creating multiple solid clones of himself, the henge transformation skills to disguise his appearance or change his clones into weapons, the summoning jutsu, and a devastating charka attack called Rasengan.
Inside Naruto is a nine-tailed demon fox, capable of greatly enhancing all of his skills. The fox has an almost infinite amount of dangerous charka, which Naruto can utilize in times of great need. Even when not using the fox’s charka outright it allows him to heal much more quickly, this ability increasing the more he draws upon the fox’s power.
One might consider Naruto’s unpredictably and sometimes considerable luck as skills as well and he’s not above using unorthodox plans—often thought up right on the spot—to take out an enemy.
Weaknesses: Naruto tends to stick to certain patterns of attack, primarily his clones, the Rasengan, or a kunai and his fists. Long-ranged fighters, those with abilities that affect the mind, or machine-enhanced foes, especially if they’re things he hasn’t seen before, can catch him off-guard and overwhelm him. He doesn’t have a large library of jutsu by any means and his fighting style isn’t exactly specialized. Also, his stature is still rather small, so if a larger person can get around his ninjutsu they can overwhelm him.
Because of the demon fox Naruto’s chakra reserves are very nearly inexhaustible, but how much he can use at one time is restricted by the limitations of his human body. Eventually he just won’t be able to withstand the intensity of the fox’s chakra and will collapse. The more of it he uses the more he loses of his personality; eventually there won’t be any of Naurto left, reducing him to nothing but the fox’s bloodthirsty will.
His temper can be used against him as well and, though he’s learned to control himself a better in recent years, he can still be provoked.
First Person Sample: Maa, this room is way too small! How is anyone supposed to sleep? The bed's all hard and I can't turn off the light and I don’t want back problems like some old man! [shakes a fist angrily, knocking his Sphere out of the air, making the image spin crazily before he sets it right again with a scowl]
Does anyone know where to get some real food? All this stuff tastes funny. And there isn’t any ramen! Why wouldn’t there be any ramen? This place doesn’t make any sense at all…
…and those things are taking all my clothes! [the Sphere is knocked out of the air as he hits it out of the way, chasing after laundry bots]
Hey, HEY! I need those!
Third Person Sample: It was all still too big by Naruto’s standards. Even the biggest city he’d been to – Mikazuki Island in the Moon Country, maybe? – couldn’t really compare to this. The sheer size and complexity and the…the weirdness of this…ship? The captain said it was a ship, but no ship sailed the stars. Sometimes Shikamaru would talk about going up high enough to reach the clouds, but that wasn’t the kind of thing a ninja ever thought about.
So the ship, if it really was a ship, was too big. Too big and too tight. He was used to trees and blue skies. There was nothing but metal here; metal metal metal, cold and hard and really, really hard to walk on. It took more chakra than ever just to stick to the ceiling! There was that dome place he’d heard about, but wouldn’t that just be fake, too? What good was that?
He didn’t like it here. It was really interesting at first, looking at all the shops and trying out the strange machines. And it wasn’t like he could stay forever! There were still promises he had to keep and friends and a village he’d said he’d protect. No one would forgive him if he never came back. He probably wouldn’t forgive himself, either.
Argh! Why did he have to be here? And why couldn’t the make the thing understand what ‘ramen’ meant?!
“Ramen. Raaaaaamen,” he said again, for what felt like the hundredth time. He was pressing his hand on the pad thing like he was supposed to, and saying what he wanted, so why couldn’t he get it? The other people in the restaurant or whatever it was were all staring at him by now. “Ramen! RAMEN! R..a…m…e…n.”
Silence. Then his stomach groaned.
This wasn’t fair at all.
